Blossie's Classes

have you thought of doing classes at Blossies - i love doing the classes, i always learn something new. recently i had the chance of doing a couple of classes with the wonderfully talented Ngaire Bartlam - she rocks!!!!!

 

here are the 2 layouts i did - lots of layering and detail. 

 

 

I was also lucky enough to do a couple of classes with Jill Geraghty  - Groves - i learnt alot from these classes as well - lots of inking and water in these classes.

 

 
 
 

So how about trying a class or two  - you just never know what you will learn.

Melbourne Cup Day Crop

All the ladies enjoyed their lunch and crop yesterday for Melbourne Cup.  Their hats were very creative!  These are some of the entrants but I don't think this photo does them justice.

Everyone got to vote for the best Blossie's Bonnet and congratulations go to Wendy who won.  Congratulations to Bernie also who won the lucky door prize.

Hope you were lucky and won on the race yesterday!

 

Christmas Journaling Helpers

I had a lot of fun creating the Journaling Helpers for Blossie's this month! I tried to find fun quotes to match the colour scheme I had in mind for them. If you haven't checked it out in the store or the sidebar to the left yet, here's a peek:

 

And it just so happens that the colours match one of the latest Kaisercraft Christmas ranges, Christmas Carnival. I couldn't resist creating a layout!

See that paper doily I used? It's been sprayed with Glimmermist (as was the pointsettia from Making Memories).

But wait . . . there's more! Here's another layout inspired by the Journaling Helpers. This time, I've used the gorgeous woodgrain paper from Cosmo Cricket as my background.

And one last tip: if you purchase the Journaling Helper as a PDF file from the sidebar on the blog here, you of course can print them out at home. I've printed mine on photo paper to get the best colour possible. Totally worth it!

 
 

Happy Birthday Annette

Happy birthday to Blossie herself for today.  Gail made these yummy cupcakes for her and she got some lovely presents.

GLIMMERMIST TECHNIQUES:

 

Wondering what to do with all that beautiful Glimmermist that Blossie’s has in store? Well, here are a few quick and easy techniques to try.

 

Want a title with a little difference? Just take the chipboard letters that make up your word (or title), lay them on cardstock (in the desired location), and spray with Glimmermist. Then remove the chipboard letters, and you are left with a great title/word.

Blossie's Ribbon Club

Blossie's Ribbon Club is a great and inexpensive way to build up your ribbon stash.  Each month, for only $13, we have a package of ribbon which is colour co-ordinated in a variety of styles - spotted, striped, floral etc.

This is the gorgeous November Ribbon Club..

As well as these beautiful ribbons you get idea sheets for layouts and cards which are sure to provide inspiration.
