Happy Birthday Marlene!

It's Marlene's (Stephen's Mum) Birthday today.  I made her a pretty cake.  

I think everyone is going to get a fancy cake for the next few months as I practice for my wedding cake.  I learnt a lot from this one :) I made the cute banner using my new Stampin Up banner punch.

Uni week 5

Bring it on!  O.K. so I'm halfway through the theory part of the semester.  5 more weeks of lectures and I'm out in a school.  The last 5 weeks have zoomed by and I'm sure the next 5 will go just as quickly.  Lots more assignments, lots more learning, but I'm starting to feel like I can do it. Thanks everyone for your support and well wishes, and have a great week whatever your doing.

Class 29th August

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a great weekend.  Just popping in to let you know that next Monday night 29th August I will be holding my next card class in the garage.  We will be making some lovely shabby chic Christmas Cards.

Daisy Chain Scrapbooks

 
This is what I came home with after teaching at Daisy Chain Scapbooks on Saturday. :)  How lucky am I to have such a great gig!  Thanks Barbi and the team for the lovely flowers and making me feel so welcome every time I'm in your store.  If you haven't been to Daisy Chain Scrapbooks  you simply must.  I happen to know they just got lots of boxes of lovely goodies including, Lost and Found 2 by My Minds Eye, Maya Road, BoBunny and lots more.

My Mum is a treasure. Stephen and I decided to get our families together and go out to dinner to celebrate our engagement. Just a low key family thing. So my Mum decided we needed a cake!

 

Pretty cute, and it tasted good too :)

Daisy Chain Scrapbooks Class

Hi everyone.  I wanted to let you know about my class at Daisy ChainScrapbooks next Saturday 13th August.  This class has been so overwhelmingly popular I am actually teaching it twice on the one day!!!  So if you haven't booked in it's not to late. Uni Week 2 already

Wow, uni is hurtling along!  I have only been studying for a bit over a week yet it feels like I have learnt so much.  I can't even begin to imagine how much I can learn in the course of twelve months.   After a huge week one, full of  "I have to write how many essays?", I'm starting to settle in.  It has been great meeting so many interesting and amazing people, finding my way around, and soaking it all in.  So I just wanted to say, if I don't check in here as often as I should, please forgive me.  I will do my best to keep you up to date with all my card classes and other bits and pieces of my life.  Must go now, need to work on my first big written paper which is due on monday :) Have a great week!
