Oh Christmas Tree

Do you ever find a good idea and get stuck on it?  That is what has happened to me with these lovely christmas tree cupcakes by Bakerella.

Here is my version.

I have made a couple of batches now for gifts and they are so much fun.  I have used fruit cake and vanilla cupcakes.  I found mini ice cream cones at the supermarket, which saved me cutting them like Bakerella describes.  I also used royal icing on the cake and the cone, this dries crisp and keeps well.

As always Annette you are absolutely amazing. If I ever go on a diet I want a tray of those cakes because for once in my life I wouldn't be game enough to eat them. Love to you and the Groom to be - LOrraine. x
